What you're buying

ElixaMD sells a doctor-guided weight-loss membership built around a compounded GLP-1 injection, and as of this read it has added a brand lane too: the lander now shows cards for a Wegovy pill, a Wegovy injection and a Zepbound injection alongside the compounded shot, each marked "availability is subject to change." What is bundled into the membership is generous on paper — physician review, a personalized plan, unlimited 24/7 messaging and support, free dietitian visits and care coaching, a metabolic report and free expedited shipping, all through one patient portal.

The clinical side runs through OpenLoop Health and "CareGLP Affiliated P.C.s"; ElixaMD is careful to say its own assessment creates no doctor-patient relationship and that OpenLoop clinicians retain every prescribing decision. Three compounding pharmacies are named with addresses and phone numbers — Triad Rx in Daphne, Alabama; RedRock Pharmacy in St. George, Utah; and Beaker Pharmacy & Compounding in McKinney, Texas — which puts ElixaMD ahead of most of its peer group on supply-chain disclosure. The company address is in Newark, Delaware.

What it costs (and how it's billed)

Start with where the price is not. In August 2026, elixamd.com — the domain the company brands itself with, the one a search result lands you on — carried no dollar figure at all, on any page, while its running header cycled the words "CLEAR PRICING." We read the home page, and every policy page it links, and found no number.

The figure lives one subdomain over, at glp1.elixamd.com, and it has moved. That lander said "SUMMER Sale! Only $99 + Fast, Free Shipping" and "Start for just $99, no insurance required." The FAQ on the same page is the only place the arrangement is explained: "The ElixaMD Semaglutide program starts at $99 for your first month with no contract. This cost covers your physician review, full personalized plan, 1:1 guidance, metabolic report, and the cost of the prescription medication shipped right to your door. Refills are locked in at $199 and include all the same program benefits." So the real ongoing rate is $199 a month, and $99 is a first-month rate. When we last read this site the first month was $179 and the ongoing tiers ran to roughly $249 to $299 a month, so the entry price has fallen and the standing rate has become clearer.

But the same lander contradicts itself in the same screen. Each of the four product cards is labeled "$99 Membership + Medication Cost," which says the medication is billed on top — while the FAQ two scrolls down says the $99 covers the medication. Both cannot be true. Our reading is that they are both true of different products: for compounded semaglutide the medication is included, and for the brand cards, Wegovy and Zepbound, you pay $99 for the membership and then the drug's own retail cost at a pharmacy, which ElixaMD never quotes. The site does not say that, and it should.

The refund terms are the strictest part. Cancel within the first 72 hours of a subscription term, before any services have been delivered, and you get a full refund; you also get one if a provider disqualifies you. Otherwise, in the policy's own capitals, "YOU WILL NOT BE ISSUED A REFUND UPON CANCELLATION FOR THE MONTH IN WHICH THE CANCELLATION OCCURRED OR FOR ANY PRIOR MONTHS." Cancellations must reach support at least 72 hours before your next billing date or you are charged for another cycle. Multi-month plans are refunded only for months where no medication shipped.

Who can order

ElixaMD publishes no states list, no minimum age and no eligibility threshold. The lander's only gate is a goal-selection widget asking how much weight you want to lose. Which states require a live video visit, and whether the brand cards ship everywhere the compounded one does, are both unanswered.

There is a LegitScript link in the page source, but it points at a directory keyword search rather than a certificate, so it is not a verification you can act on. Insurance is not accepted; the FAQ says prescriptions are cash-pay and that your insurer may reimburse you for the branded options.

How the intake works

The described flow is short: a quick online evaluation, a review by an OpenLoop clinician, then the prescription shipped from a partner pharmacy with free expedited delivery. The refund policy is where the mechanics actually surface — your membership "begins once you have completed the intake form and paid for the first month," so you pay before a clinician reads your file, with the disqualification refund as your protection.

Support is help@elixamd.com and (303) 563-7471, with the site promising unlimited 24/7 messaging and appointments. Cancellation is by email or through the portal chat. No published support hours, no named medical director and no dose-escalation policy appear anywhere.

What we'd want changed

Put the price on the website. A brand domain whose header promises clear pricing and whose pages contain no figure at all is the most avoidable problem here, and the fix costs one line: publish $99 for the first month and $199 a month thereafter on elixamd.com, next to the promise.

Then reconcile the cards with the FAQ. "$99 Membership + Medication Cost" and "this cost covers the medication" appear on the same lander a few hundred pixels apart, and a shopper who reads only the FAQ will be surprised by a pharmacy bill for Wegovy. And say what the brand medications cost, or say plainly that ElixaMD does not know because you fill them yourself.

Bottom line

ElixaMD includes more in its membership than most — dietitian visits, coaching, round-the-clock messaging — and it names three pharmacies you can look up, which is unusual at this level. The economics are $99 for the first month and $199 a month after that for compounded semaglutide, with the brand options carrying the drug's cost on top. Just know that you will not learn any of that from elixamd.com, that the 72-hour cancellation window is short, and that the month you cancel in is never refunded.
