What you're buying

LIV by WellNow sells one medicine: compounded semaglutide, self-injected once a week. There is no tirzepatide, no oral or sublingual route, and no brand-name lane. If you want the dual-agonist molecule or a needle-free option, this is the wrong place to start, and the site is clear about that rather than burying it.

What you actually buy is a membership. The price covers the medication, the syringes and supplies, and unlimited virtual visits with certified online providers, and nothing is added on afterward. LIV is the telehealth arm of WellNow Urgent Care, and the footer explains the relationship in more detail than most sellers manage: the two are separately owned by licensed physicians and both are supported by TAG Urgent Care Support Services, LLC. Being attached to a real urgent-care chain with physical clinics is the strongest trust signal here.

The pharmacy is named. LIV says it has partnered with Logos Pharmacy, which ships from Tampa, Florida by FedEx in discreet packaging, and that it contracts only with licensed 503A compounding pharmacies or FDA-registered 503B outsourcing facilities. It also publishes the dose schedule it expects you to follow — 0.25 mg a week for weeks one to four, 0.5 mg for weeks five to eight, 1 mg from week nine, and 1 mg as the maintenance dose from week thirteen. Very few sellers show you the titration plan before you pay.

What it costs (and how it's billed)

The headline on the home page and the weight-loss page is "NEW LOW PRICE — $195/month with no hidden fees", and when we read the FAQ in August 2026 it filled that in: $195 a month covers the average dose of 1 mg a week, and the higher doses of 1.7 mg or 2.4 mg a week cost $265 a month. Paying quarterly, three months of medication in one charge, takes $20 a month off the average-dose rate and $16 a month off the higher one, which is where the membership page's $175 and $249 figures come from.

So the real ladder is a dose ladder, not a commitment ladder, and that is unusual in this category — most sellers here charge one flat rate at every dose and discount only for a longer term. It cuts both ways. If you settle at 1 mg you will pay less here than at most of the flat-rate sellers. If your provider moves you to 1.7 mg, your bill rises by $70 a month, a 36 percent jump that the phrase "no hidden fees" does not prepare anyone for.

There is no insurance. LIV says plainly it cannot accept insurance for compounded semaglutide, though HSA or FSA funds may work depending on your plan. Tax is included in the quoted price everywhere except Illinois, where the FAQ says 1 percent will be added to your final cost. Canceling is done yourself, in the portal under profile and memberships, with no phone call and no retention script — which is more than several better-known sellers offer.

Who can order

Five states, and that is the whole story: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania. The restriction is repeated in the legal footer of every page rather than hidden on a shipping page, so nobody outside those states can get halfway through an intake before finding out.

The clinical gate is the standard one, stated up front. You must be 18 or older with a body mass index of 30 or more, or 27 or more with at least one weight-related condition such as high cholesterol or hypertension. You will not qualify if you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant, or if you or your family have a history of pancreatitis, medullary thyroid cancer or multiple endocrine neoplasia. The FAQ also says something most sellers avoid: if you are diabetic, talk to your own doctor first, because brand-name semaglutide may be covered by your insurance. That is a company telling a slice of its market to go somewhere cheaper.

How the intake works

You complete an online eligibility questionnaire with your height and weight. A provider reviews it, and the site says same-day approval is available. Video visits are not required — the FAQ says so directly — but a provider who has questions will reach out to schedule one before prescribing. If you want to talk to somebody before committing, LIV offers one free virtual visit ahead of signing up, which you book through the same eligibility form.

After approval the prescription goes to Logos Pharmacy and you should allow five to seven business days for the box to arrive, with FedEx sending the tracking mail directly. What we'd want changed

Put the higher-dose rate next to the headline. "$195/month with no hidden fees" appears twice on the home page and again on the weight-loss page, and the fact that two of the three doses LIV prescribes cost $265 a month lives four accordions deep in the FAQ. It is not hidden, but it is not beside the number it modifies either, and the two rungs belong on the same line.

Publish the subscription terms as a page. The footer link marked "Subscription Terms" does not open a page at all; it downloads a PDF from a marketing file host. That is where a reader would expect to find the refund rule and what happens to an unused part of a cycle, and asking someone to open a PDF to learn whether they can get money back is a bad answer to a fair question.

Bottom line

If you live in one of the five states, LIV is a straightforward, well-documented way to buy compounded semaglutide from a company attached to a real clinic chain, at $195 a month for the dose most patients settle on. Named pharmacy, published titration schedule, no required video call, cancel-yourself billing, and a free visit before you commit — that is a better disclosure record than most of this category. Budget for the higher rung before you start, because the price here follows the dose rather than the calendar.
