What you're buying

Care Bare Rx is a telehealth service built around weight loss, hair growth, sexual health and NAD+, styled with more personality than most of this category manages. On the weight-loss side it offers both GLP-1 molecules in both routes, which is genuinely rare: compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide as once-weekly injections, plus oral options — semaglutide as Rybelsus and, the site says, oral tirzepatide formulations where a provider thinks they fit. Brand Ozempic is sold separately.

The supporting cast is named in unusual detail. The answers page identifies the telehealth operator, CareValidate, at an address in Alpharetta, Georgia; the medical group, Lion MD, led by Dr. Ana Lisa Carr and Dr. Kelly Tenbrink; and two more physicians, Dr. HirenKimar Italia and Dr. David Mansour. All four are listed with their NPI numbers, which you can check yourself. Four dispensing pharmacies are named with street addresses and phone numbers: Belmar in Scottsdale, Strive in Torrance, Epiq Scripts in Clovis and Casa Pharma Rx in Stafford. Spanish-speaking clinicians are advertised.

The company itself is a Delaware corporation at the same Alpharetta address as its telehealth operator, and the platform running the program is branded CareGLP. That is three names for one purchase, and you meet all three before you finish reading the terms.

What it costs (and how it's billed)

The headline is "Weight Loss Treatments Starting at $199" a month, and it is a category floor rather than a price for either molecule. The answers page is candid about why: price varies by dose and by which medication is prescribed. What the floor does include is the consultation, the treatment plan, a monthly prescription, shipping and email and phone support.

Where real numbers appear is the bundle page. A three-month semaglutide bundle starts at $748 and a three-month tirzepatide bundle at $1,068 — about $249 and $356 a month respectively. So the two molecules are not priced alike, which the $199 floor conceals entirely. Note also how those bundles are labeled: the cards read "From $748/mo" and "From $1068/mo" even though the bullet above them says the format is a three-month bundle. Take the "/mo" literally and you would budget three times what you owe.

The other prices move depending on which page you are on. Brand Ozempic is listed from $705 a month on the answers page. Hair growth is $99 a month on the home page and $180 a month on the answers page; sexual health is $99 a month on one and $120 a month on the other. Those are not GLP-1 prices, but they are the same product cards showing different numbers on two pages of the same site, and that is a reason to verify anything here before you pay.

Refunds are strict and cancellation is unaddressed. Consultation fees are not refundable, prescription products cannot be returned, and all sales are final. The word "cancel" does not appear anywhere in the terms — for a service that ships monthly, that is an odd thing to leave out. Disputes go to binding arbitration with a class-action and jury-trial waiver. FSA and HSA cards are accepted.

Who can order

All 50 states plus Puerto Rico, stated plainly on the answers page. No exclusions are listed and nothing elsewhere on the site contradicts it, which is more than several competitors manage.

There is no insurance involvement — this is cash-pay, with the FSA and HSA route as the only offset. Beyond geography, eligibility is decided in a telehealth consultation with one of the named physicians; the site does not publish an age floor or a weight threshold.

How the intake works

Three steps, and the site is specific about the timing. You fill out an intake form, a licensed provider reviews it within 24 hours, and if you are approved the prescription goes to one of the named pharmacies. Delivery is described as typically five to seven business days after the prescription is issued, with a monthly supply after that. Some plans include a real telehealth consultation rather than a form-only review — several of the published customer stories describe a phone call with a named doctor.

Support is by email and phone, with coaching offered as an option. No response-time standard is published beyond the 24-hour intake review.

What we'd want changed

Price the molecules separately on the main page. A single floor covering compounded semaglutide, compounded tirzepatide, oral tablets and brand Ozempic tells a shopper nothing, and the bundle page proves the company can publish real figures when it wants to.

Then fix the labels. A three-month bundle should not carry a per-month suffix, and the same treatment should not show two different starting prices on two pages. Whichever number is right, one of each pair is wrong.

Two more. The compounding answer still rests on the drug-shortage rule as its justification for compounded semaglutide, which is a weaker footing than it was when it was written and deserves updating. And two of the six customer stories on the site thank staff at CareGLP rather than at Care Bare Rx, while a third misspells tirzepatide — testimonials borrowed from the platform underneath do not read as this company's own patients, which is presumably the point of putting them there.

Bottom line

For range and for disclosure of who is actually behind the service, Care Bare Rx is above average: both molecules, both routes, a real brand lane, all 50 states and Puerto Rico, four named pharmacies and four physicians you can look up. For pricing it is below average, and the gap is not subtle — a single floor on the front page, a per-month label on a three-month bundle, and the same products priced differently depending on which page you land on.
