What you're buying

Wisp is a large women's telehealth service — contraception, vaginal health, sexually transmitted infection treatment, fertility — and weight care is one aisle inside it. That aisle sells four different things. There is a Weight Care Consult, which is the clinician relationship. There is a compounded sublingual semaglutide, sold as 15 mL of drops. There are branded injectables that Wisp prescribes but does not dispense — Wegovy, Zepbound and Saxenda, with an oral Wegovy newly added. And there is a supplement, the Metabolic Support and GLP-1 Boost capsule, which is not a GLP-1 and which Wisp warns must not be taken alongside one.

Wisp is unusually candid about the limits of its own compounded option, describing the sublingual drops as an alternative for people who prefer to avoid needles rather than as an equal to injection. It is less candid elsewhere: a disclaimer at the foot of the weight-care page tells you that "the globally sourced medications offered are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease" and that by purchasing "you are assuming the risks of using a globally sourced, non-FDA-approved product for personal use." Nothing on the page says which product that sentence is about, and "globally sourced" is a phrase that deserves a paragraph, not a footnote.

What it costs (and how it's billed)

The consult and the medication are separate charges, and the consult recurs. The FAQ spells out the mechanics better than the cards do: "Our Weight Care Consult starts at $99/month. Depending on treatment, medication costs will apply when you pick up your meds at your local pharmacy or upon checkout if choosing free delivery." Then, after three weeks, your card is authorized for another $99 and charged once a provider completes your check-in, "and the same process will continue each month thereafter." So the floor for staying in the program is $99 a month before any drug is paid for.

On top of that, in August 2026 the compounded sublingual semaglutide drops were $225 a month for a 15 mL bottle. Metformin for weight gain related to polycystic ovary syndrome started at $24, and the metabolic support capsules started at $54 a month. The branded injectables carry no price at all on Wisp's side, and that is by design rather than by omission — Wisp writes the prescription and you fill it at a pharmacy of your choice, so Wegovy or Zepbound costs whatever your pharmacy or your insurer says it costs. Wisp does not accept insurance for the consult, but you can apply insurance at the pharmacy and Wisp offers a GoodRx discount card for cash fills.

Adding it up matters here in a way it does not at a flat-rate seller. A patient on the sublingual drops is paying $99 a month for the consult plus $225 a month for the medication — $324 a month all in, which is well above what a compounded injection costs at most of the sellers we cover, for a formulation Wisp itself says works less consistently. The trade is that you are inside a real clinic with a real brand-name pathway if the drops do not suit you.

Who can order

The eligibility rule is the most important fact on this page and the easiest to miss: Wisp's semaglutide criteria begin "You were assigned female at birth." This is a women's health service, and its weight care is scoped the same way. You must also be 18 or older, have a body mass index of 27 or above — 25 or above if you are of Asian or Pacific Islander descent — be able to send a photograph of yourself from head to waist, and have neither heavy alcohol use nor a history of suicidal ideation or attempts.

The states are published, and separately per product, which is better than most. Branded injectables reach 40 states plus the District of Columbia, but 12 of those are marked delivery-only or local-pickup-only: Arizona, Connecticut, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. The sublingual semaglutide reaches a smaller set, 27 states plus the District of Columbia. Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee appear on neither list.

How the intake works

You choose a care option, complete a medical intake and, where needed, a phone or video call. Wisp says patients hear from a provider within 24 to 72 hours for weight care, and that most prescriptions reach a pharmacy within three hours of the intake and any call. Delivery is free to all 50 states in discreet packaging, or you can pick up the same day locally.

The ongoing rhythm is a monthly provider check-in that gates each refill — the $99 authorization exists precisely so a clinician reviews your progress before the next fill goes out, which is a better cadence than the sellers that simply ship. What we'd want changed

Show the all-in figure on the product card. "$225/ month" beside a consult sold separately at $99 a month means the real cost of the sublingual program is $324 a month, and a reader has to open the FAQ to learn that the consult recurs at all. A single line — medication plus consult — would fix it.

Explain "globally sourced." A one-sentence disclaimer at the bottom of a weight-care page, unattached to any specific product, telling patients they are assuming the risk of a non-FDA-approved product sourced from abroad, is the kind of thing that should be on the product card in plain language or not on the site at all. And say on the weight-care page, not only inside an FAQ answer, that the service is limited to people assigned female at birth — a man who works through the intake before finding out has wasted his time.

Bottom line

Wisp is the most established company here and the only one that will put you on brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound through your own pharmacy, with published state lists, named clinicians and a monthly check-in that actually gates refills. It is also the most expensive route to compounded semaglutide we cover: $99 a month for the consult plus $225 a month for drops Wisp concedes are less reliable than an injection. For the brand lane and a real clinic, that is a fair deal. For a compounded injection at a good price, it is not the place.
