What you're buying

iThriveMD is a clinic, not a pure telehealth storefront, and that shapes everything about it. It runs nine physical locations — seven in Southern California including five in San Diego, two in Northern California at Roseville and Walnut Creek, and a telehealth-only listing for Scottsdale, Arizona — and it sells GLP-1 weight loss as one line on a wide longevity menu that also carries testosterone and female hormone therapy, NAD+, sermorelin, methylene blue, low-dose naltrexone, peptides, IV therapy, glutathione, nutrient injections, lab panels and full-body MRI.

The GLP-1 products themselves are three: compounded semaglutide injections, compounded tirzepatide injections, and a microdosing tirzepatide program sold as a three-month block. The weight-loss program is described as a full evaluation by the clinical team followed by a customized plan, with monthly consultations, metabolic lab testing and progress tracking included — genuinely more clinical apparatus than a questionnaire-and-a-vial operation, and the reason the prices are higher.

The site is unusually forthcoming about its own corporate tangle. A footnote names Vishal Verma, M.D., Samir Damani, M.D., Empower Aesthetics Medical Group, Inc. and iThriveMD PC, and states that each has a financial interest in or provides services to one or more of the others, and that you are free to choose any doctor you wish. That is a disclosure most sellers in this category would simply omit. The compounding pharmacy, by contrast, is not named anywhere.

What it costs (and how it's billed)

The base rates are printed on the treatment grid and they are premium. Reading /weight-loss in August 2026: semaglutide injections start at $299 and tirzepatide injections start at $399, with the microdosing tirzepatide three-month program starting at $585 for the three months. The same two figures appear again on the grid under the labels GLP-1 and GLP-1 + GIP, so they are consistent across the page.

Underneath sits a three-rung package ladder for tirzepatide, and every rung is paid in full up front. Twelve weeks costs $299.25 a month, twenty-four weeks costs $259.35 a month, and forty-eight weeks costs $199.50 a month, marked as 25, 35 and 50 percent off. The site says all packages are paid in full at purchase and automatically renew at the interval you chose, which means the forty-eight-week rung renews as another forty-eight-week charge unless you act. There is also a $100 first-month promotion that the footnotes explicitly bar from the packages.

The number to read carefully is the one under the footnotes: "All memberships will be charged every 28 days from the start of the membership." Twenty-eight days is not a month. It is thirteen charges a year rather than twelve, so a rate advertised at $399 a month is really $5,187 a year, about $433 a calendar month. That is not a small rounding difference, and it applies to every figure on the page marked with a slash and "mo".

The home page adds a fourth layer: a "90-day unlock" promising up to 76 percent off, where starting any weight-loss or hormone plan opens the whole longevity menu at member pricing for ninety days, with add-ons from $29 a month and struck-through pairs like $249 marked down to $79 a month on NAD+. The banner carries a hard deadline of August 31st.

Who can order

iThriveMD does not publish a state list, which for a clinic-first business is a real gap. What it publishes is a location list, and that list is California and Arizona: nine addresses across San Diego, Orange County, Sacramento and the Bay Area, plus Scottsdale marked as a telehealth appointment. Treatment can begin "in-clinic or at home (if eligible)", so telehealth exists, but which states it reaches is never stated.

There is one geographic rule buried in the footnotes worth knowing: NAD+ injections cannot be shipped to Arizona, though NAD+ wafers can go to Arizona and California. No insurance or referral is required, and no body-mass-index threshold or contraindication list appears on the weight-loss page.

How the intake works

The entry point is a free consultation, and iThriveMD leads with it on every screen — "Schedule free consultation" appears more than a dozen times, alongside a phone number. From there the described flow is a quick online intake about your health and goals, a clinical consultation that reviews diagnostic labs and sets a personalized plan, starting the protocol either in a clinic or at home, and then ongoing optimization with tracked progress and plan adjustments.

Labs are the differentiator. The site says it identifies root causes through comprehensive lab work, metabolic panels and hormone testing before treatment begins, which is a materially different product from a five-minute questionnaire. What it does not publish is how long any of it takes: no review window, no shipping estimate, no support hours. Two different phone numbers appear on the site, one on the home page and one on the weight-loss page.

What we'd want changed

Stop writing "/mo" beside a charge that recurs every 28 days. The cycle is disclosed, but it is disclosed in a footnote below a clinic map, four screens under the prices it silently inflates by roughly 8 percent. Either bill monthly or write the real cadence beside every figure — a clinic with this much genuine clinical substance should not need the arithmetic to work in its favor by accident.

Then name the pharmacy, publish the states you actually serve by telehealth, and retire the countdown. "90-DAY MEMBER PRICING · ENDS AUGUST 31ST" beside "up to 76% off" is manufactured urgency of exactly the kind this site's own careful conflict-of-interest disclosure suggests it is above. And the packages need a plain sentence about what happens if you stop: paying forty-eight weeks in full, up front, on an auto-renewing term, with no refund rule published anywhere, is the riskiest thing on offer here.

Bottom line

iThriveMD is one of the more clinically serious operations we cover — real clinics, real lab work before prescribing, a free consultation, named physicians and a conflict-of-interest disclosure almost nobody else writes. You pay for it: $299 for semaglutide and $399 for tirzepatide are top-of-market starting rates, and they are charged every 28 days rather than every month. If you want a doctor who will run your panels and adjust from data, that premium buys something. If you want a vial at the best price, it does not.
